Collective Bargaining Simulation

This is a four hour lesson that involves students in a collective bargaining simulation playing the roles of management and labor under the National Labor Relations Act (Wagner Act). Various aspects of the simulation can be modified to meet local classroom needs. It provides students with an undertanding of the nature of collective bargaining and the role unions play in improving the pay; benefits and working conditions of workers.
