From College to Jobs: Pathways in STEM
Are your students considering a STEM career? Recent census data show that STEM workers who majored in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) field in college typically earned more: $101,100 vs. $87,600 annually.
This 5-Minute Challenge warm-up activity has students use an interactive data visualization that illustrates the dynamic relationship between college major and jobs, with a special focus on STEM workers. They will explore the characteristics and educational attainment level of STEM-related and non-STEM workers.
