About This Lesson
To assist students with academic speaking requirements of the content area classroom, this lesson is the first of many designed to introduce ESL students to target language functions. Through the use of sentence stems (similar to sentence starters) students practice target language in a controlled setting as the instructor gradually releases control and students are performing by themselves.
