About This Lesson

This course outline provides a counter-balance to the traditional economics curriculum, focusing instead on the need to create a new sustainable model that examines climate change threats, globalization and the race to the bottom, debt-driven personal and global finance, as well as the cost of war vs. the benefits of peace. Essential questions include: What does it mean to build a sustainable life in a sustainable world?

This is an innovative approach to economics, different from what I learned in high school. Excellent combination of micro/macro economics and how it ties into entrepreneurship and sustainability. One thing I would add is the relevant chapters/videos needed for each area of focus. I would also approach "Green Entrepreneurship" differently, using Eric Ries' lean startup and validated learning approach, instead of the traditional business plan/market research approach.
