About This Lesson
The mayors of more than 300 European cities are making a commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions beyond the EU target of 20% by 2020. This initiative, known as the Covenant of Mayors, brings together the mayors of Europe's most pioneering cities in a network to exchange and apply good practices and improve energy efficiency in urban areas.
