About This Lesson
In many situations the best way to demonstrate you understand a concept is by using the tool effectively yourself - that is the goal of this unit plan. Students will read a variety of literary works, identify the various tools authors use to convey meaning, and then will use those tools in their own works of creative writing.
The unit objective is for students to display comprehension of the elements of literature by utilizing them in their own works of
fiction. Students will read complex works of literature, identify and analyze deliberate literary decisions, and utilize those same
techniques in their own writing.
