About This Lesson

Introducing the idea of the data handling cycle...beginning with an illustration of how statistics can be used.Emphasis is on formulating a good hypothesis. 24 examples are given in the word document - for use in pairs or whole class activity if displayed. Some discussion on whether they are good or bad will be needed...can they all be tested? If so; how? Some are questions - how could they be changed to a statement? These can then be referred to again towards the end of the lesson when students can be given the sheet to fill in as an example. 2 exam questions are included as a wrap up.
