About This Lesson

During this 2 week unit plan, students will work to define and describe the elements of a "good" performance. Students will then apply these elements culminating in the assessment of their own performance in either a concert or competition setting.

In addition to defining a "good" performance, students will reflect on their own vocal abilities through keep a Weekly Voice Journal.

In this unit plan I happen to have a live performer coming to my school immediately followed by a competition. Please adjust lesson plans as needed to fit your class.
