“Evita”; like “Tommy” began as a concept album. Musicals became much more elaborate and hence expensive to produce. In “Phantom” a huge chandelier fell to the Stage. In “Les Mis” enormous barricades appeared on stage. In “Miss Saigon” a helicopter landed on stage.
