About This Lesson

Students look at the headlines of newspaper articles for Ruth Ellis; the last woman in the UK to be hanged. This launches students into guided discussion about capital punishment; where they have a chance to practice all the communicating areas; such as presenting opinions and having collaborative conversations. Aligned with Common Core State Standard: SL.7.1
