About This Lesson
Handouts are bookmarks as well as assessments of reading. I had them copied onto cardstock for durability as a bookmark. This unit is for out-of-class reading for PreAP AVID students. In order to encourage reluctant readers, I also did podcasts of the different weeks in order for special needs students and for reluctant readers to stay abreast of the reading. The book that was used was the McDougal Littell Literature Connections of _Dogsong: and Related Readings_ - ISBN: 978-0-395-77527-1 and ISBN: 0-395-77527-2
This is a "ready to go" unit. Works to provide the "deep" and "close" reading necessary for CCLS.
