About This Lesson
The game looks incredible it is a mix of technology and live small group in the whole class setting. It looks like great powerful learning experience that is filled with fun. I think it could be a complete digital team but would require a great deal of teacher planning and prep work. The DOWN IN THE DUMPS
The DOWN IN THE DUMPS A Great Depression Game was created and shared by John Dalgety. He suggests that teachers "Build intrigue as the game begins. Explain to students that the goal of the game is to collect as many Great Depression characters as you can before time expires."
The game board introduction: "Welcome to the Great Depression! It’s a desperate time in the United States in the 1930’s. You and your team have just been put in charge of getting the U.S. out of it’s Great Depression. Now’s your chance to make maneuvers all over the country! Can you build up the U.S. before time expires?"
