Durer Texture Letter Illustrations

In this lesson students illustrate a large letter in the foreground of a piece of paper. The students then choose an animal corresponding to the letter to illustrate in the background. The composition must include a border decorated with a pattern that either relates visually or thematically to the animal. Each composition must include at least three examples of visual texture.
