About This Lesson
In this lesson, students explore the big idea, We eat different parts of different plants, and classify different vegetables by the part of the plant we eat. Students learn that we eat the leaves of some plants, the stems of others, and the fruits, seeds, or flowers of others. Students also do an observational drawing of a plant in the garden, label each part and then identify the part that we eat.
