About This Lesson

This End-of-the-Year Algebra 2 Project allows students to explore how mathematics is used in real-world careers and industries. Students will choose one of the following topics: Sports Statistics, Business & Profit, Architecture, Social Media, Gaming, Music, or Medicine. Through research and mathematical analysis, students will apply Algebra 2 concepts such as quadratic models, probability, regression, linear systems, exponential growth and decay, functions, functions, and statistics to solve real-world problems. Students will create a presentation that explains the mathematics behind their chosen topic and demonstrates the practical applications of Algebra 2. This project encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and career exploration while reinforcing key Algebra 2 standards learned throughout the school year.
