About This Lesson

This unit is based upon 7 or 8 1hour lessons. The students learn what habitat, threatened, endangered, and extinct mean from fun activities then choose an animal they would like to research. They write about it in report form, write poems about it, and then write a letter "from" their animal. Several Common Core language arts standards are addressed and labeled.<br />Sources:
