Join Alan Holdsworth and Share My Lesson for this presentation that will equip teachers and administrators with the tools to infuse messaging around disability, justice, and equality into their curriculum. Educating about disability justice is important not just for disabled students, but non-disabled students as well, and can be taught in classrooms from preschool to college.
Now Available On Demand. Original Air Date: March 26, 2020.
This presentation will offer concrete strategies for how education can be used to end the stigma of disability faced by our students, along with practical content and advice on how to bring disability into your classroom regardless of the subject or age taught. Educators will also learn what can be done at a school-wide administrative level to create inclusive and disability-informed schools. The presenters will provide webinar attendees with resources such as books, websites, videos, and lesson plans that they can use in their classroom to educate their students about disability, disability history, and disability rights.
Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.
On Demand version is available in closed captioning in English and Spanish.
