About This Lesson
Booklet which requires children to research the lives of 20 famous scientists. I set this as a homework activity. Before the task I got them to name as many scientists as they could (ranged from "I don't know any" to 5 or 6 names) and then before returning marked booklets; gave them 5 mins to list as many scientists as they could (they could all name between 8 and 22 at the end of the project!)
A very useful resource that will develop pupils research skills to discover information about Scientists and why their work was important. It certainly helps to have their pictures readily available with simple index cards to complete.
