Figurative Language HyperDoc Lesson is wonderful self- pace and directed activity for students. This is one of the best guides I have seen on this activity I also included several wonderful videos on this topic. Enjoy!

The figurative language types that are depicted in this video are alliteration, metaphor, simile, personification, hyperbole, idiom, and onomatopoeia.

Figurative language Digital Composition Notebooks is a wonderful way to help student record and apply their learning of  literature devices to all the text they read. The document is started to show sames, but is not in any way complete and awaits your input.

This video wins my nomination for the academy awards for the category of Figurative Language instructional videos. Literary Devices in Pop Culture. This well done video was his project for  English 7741 class. He thanks Paul and Andrew for volunteering your time to help him make this video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_pxfifB6Co

Will Ferrell Figurative Language https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xn_6uIFYk_I This has nothing higher than a pg-13 rating.

Figurative language and Idioms Lyrics by the wonderful Rapper teachers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IlZmvZRudY

They are just too fun!!

Enjoy!

Hi, In my culture you don't get to be considered honored with the title of elder (old) until you are close to 90... Thus, I think we both are still young! It is so hard to find good video!! I have watched many hours of resources!!! This is one that I did not include, so I am glad you brought it to my attention. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6buf0If0zI0. See what you think of it and let me know. Is there anything that you want? I have had good luck with the 2 teachers video. Remember, a good laugh, aids in memory retention as it is processed and hooks into an additional part of the brain via an emotional connection.

Could have selected more
It's a good resource, but I would have preferred more effective videos. ~~ OR ~~ maybe I'm just old - LOL
