About This Lesson
Whatever else is done the first day at school; at least ten minutes should be given in showing children something they will learn later. They may not understand it all then; but are told they will learn it later. For example; they can be shown an alphabet frieze and told what sound and a word are connected with each letter. This example is described here.Then children do not go home disappointed that school is not a place to learn anything.
