President and co-founder of NSCC, Jonathan Cohen, discusses the importance of creating a space not only for academic excellence for K-12 students, but also an environment in which students can be "engaged, healthy, happy and responsible participants in our democracy." Educators and families need to work collaboratively to improve the quality and character of school life.
