About This Lesson

Provides an interactive introduction to the concept of the Geometric Distribution in statistics. You need Macros enabled. It goes from a simple simulation of rolling a dice until you obtain the first six; to performing the experiment an increasing number of times; leading finally into the full probability distribution. You need to have Macros enabled in Excel.

A superb Excel file which gives an interesting insight to the classic 'rolling of a dice' to introduce geometric distribution. I particularly like that there are a range of possible options. One can perform single or large-scale simulations and view charts which include relative frequencies, cumulative probabilities and more.
