About This Lesson

Counterfeit products can be dangerous and they cost U.S. businesses an estimated $600 billion each year. Research shows that many teens understand the potential dangers of counterfeits, but few care enough to change their buying habits. That’s where Go For Real can make a difference.

Check out the DUPE DETECTOR DIGITAL SHOPPING GAME, an online game where students will be challenged to test their shopping smarts and discover if they'll be duped by clever fakes or able to stop scammers!

Visit the PROGRAM SITE to discover additional educational resources for the classroom, including a Dupe Detector Digital Kit featuring Dupe Detector tips, crosswords, word searches, a letter to parents and caregivers, an online quiz and more to show students the risks that come with purchasing counterfeits and how to spot a fake online.
