About This Lesson

In the mountains of Snowdonia, the first large turbine generating power from water for the National Trust has sparked into life. The hydro-electric plant now generates enough energy to light up all the National Trust's properties in Wales. The power produced will be sold the Trust's energy partner & green electricity supplier Good Energy. To find out more about how this modern marvel was created without damaging the fragile beauty of a National Park, watch this video. Information about the National Trust's plans to halve reliance on fossil fuels by 2020: https:www.nationaltrust.org.uk/energy
