About This Lesson
The unit plan for high school ceramics includes four lessons focusing on each of the three techniques used for hand building ceramics and a final project that combines all three methods. Students will be able to explore their creativity in the clay medium, and all students will be fully supported with visuals and clarified instructions to be able to access the content. All lessons align with the common core standards for visual art. By the end of the unit students will have an understanding of working with clay and learn how to create functional ceramic art which could potentially lead to a successful career in the arts.
