About This Lesson
Students learned about the history of hot air balloons, invented by the French Montgolfier brothers, and finish mini unit by making papier maché hot air balloons of their own. I was inspired by the linked blog and then used the wiki-how site to easily show students the step by step process of making their hot air balloons. Time consuming but very fun. Plan to hang our hot air balloons from the ceiling of our classroom.
