About This Lesson

Students will understand that argument writing is not about emotion; argument writing is about facts, data, and logic. Their goal is to convince someone that their opinion about a topic is correct.

Students will be introduced to what a claim, counter claim, and a rebuttal are. The slides give examples for each of the previous mentioned.
