Humans depend on the living world for the resources and other benefits provided by biodiversity. But human activity is also having adverse impacts on biodiversity through overpopulation, overexploitation, habitat destruction, pollution, introduction of invasive species, and climate change. The purpose of this lesson is for students to develop researchable questions on the topic of how humans impact the environment on and around Earth.  Students will choose a topic and develop questions to research with a choice of product design (newspaper article, radio show report (voice recording), video news report or a blog page and a required argumentative paper on their chosen topic.
