Cut up the cards and laminate them. Shuffle the cards; and place face down the carpet. This game would be suitable for 1-4 players. In turns; the children turn over two cards. If the initial sounds of the cards match (ex. ant and apple); they keep the cards. If they do not match (ex. tooth and sausage;) the cards are turned back over. The game continues until all the cards have gone and the winner is the player with the most cards at the end.
