About This Lesson

Looks at different types of text and characteristics. Includes examples of text (taken from skillswise examples) and getting students to discuss what they see and how they know it is persuasive; informative; descriptive etc. Comes with a sorting activity handout. I gave small groups a variation of texts collected from around the area and asked them to sort them into the different types of text groups. Extension activity/ additional lesson of getting students to create text with different scenarios - see written assignments. Fun and interactive lesson to deliver.
