About This Lesson

In this activity students will calculate the density of 2 samples of water and a wood block. This will allow them to practice measuring mass and volume of both liquids and solids and calculating using a formula. It will also allow them to see density as an intrinsic property of matter. This activity can be extended to investigate the connection between buoyancy and density.
