About This Lesson
The moral of Joseph and the Truth Stick is that honesty is the best policy. The story can be used to facilitate discussion in any assembly that takes truthfulness as its theme. However; it also provides a useful addition to any assemblies that have been focusing on the Old Testament story of Joseph and his coat of many colors. Teachers have used the story of Joseph and the Truth Sticks to examine how and why Joseph uses deception to arrive at the truth and to explore the issues of justice; mercy and giving someone a fair hearing.
