About This Lesson
Perfect for early November; my poem actually looks like a rocket. It could be used to support students in making their own visual poetry or; with such interesting onomatopoeia; can be used as a performance piece (adding actions; sounds; etc).
Last year this helped fire up my reluctant boy writers. Together with the black & white word mat (see another contributor) they loved the activity, wrote lots in their own rocket outlines and were very proud of the results. Thanks for sharing.
