About This Lesson

Louis Nkembi won the 2010 Whitley Award donated by WildInvest. Louis is introducing community-based landscape and biodiversity management to the Lebialem Highlands - a refuge for many rare plants, birds and other animals, including chimpanzees and Africa's most endangered great ape, the cross river gorilla.

Good example of an environmental problem that people in the community are working to solve...would work well in a unit about conservation.
