About This Lesson

9/11 changed our society in many ways, but importantly it has had a lasting impact on our US foreign policy on terrorism. Students will become the next generation of policy makers and perhaps most importantly: voters. This lesson is about educating students on some of the current viewpoints in America about how to best address and prevent terrorism. Students will practice their critical thinking skills to decide what they would recommend as sound foreign policy towards counter terrorism. The viewpoints listed below are by no means the only ways of looking at terrorism prevention, but rather these viewpoints are meant to represent some of the current schools of thought.
