This is a good resource and would be engaging for students to use a social media site to connect and develop a character from a text they are reading.

I did something similar but in a history class where students were paired up and assigned generals during the Civil War and they had make a facebook page for their person and then, with their partner/opposing general, had to create an event page and provide an account of the battle they were encountered each other.

I tried this activity and it was very good. My students enjoyed it even though they had to think (God forbid!) and they seemed to learn more about the characters.

Brilliant! I've just downloaded this template and will be using it tomorrow to help my students develop and internalize their characters in drama. Can't wait to see students' eagerness when doing the activity! :)

Fantastic resource - great way to teach about what you actually put on a facebook page: cybersafety and the effects of giving too much personal info. Congratulations!

Hello - I am the original creator of this resource and originally uploaded it to the TES website in the UK. It doesn't quite match the most up-to-date version of the Facebook website, but is a great way of getting students to examine character and particularly relationships in texts, or in historical battles!
