About This Lesson

Students choose three of the mythical characters which appear in the story. They research the mythical characters and do a (choice) project. Students then take notes about the characters as they read the book. After completing the book; they write a character analysis about one of the mythical characters. Included are teacher information; student directions; and a grading rubric. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: RL.7.3, W.7.9, W.8.9

Great idea to introduce them to the characters before reading story, and then following up after reading. Great rubrics included.
