About This Lesson

Students develop their own definition of what it is to be "living". They observe a collection of objects (seeds, plants, toy cars, candle, cut flowers, acorns, goldfish, paper clip, sugar, yeast, etc..) to build "rules" or characteristics that apply to all living things.
