About This Lesson

A work sheet to help students understand what makes an isotope different from a regular atom; with questions to answer after the activity. Along side the worksheet you will need to have 2 different colored pieces of paper that have circles drawn/printed on them for students to cut out; or if you have a large circle punch (for craft type work) you can use this (certainly would speed up the activity!). It is a good visual activity for students to understand the idea of neutrons and protons in atoms and isotopes.
