About This Lesson

This unit lesson consists of 10 days of instruction on genetics for a seventh grade science class. The unit objective is to learn about heredity and inheritance and variation of traits. Common core standard: MS-LS3-1 and MS-LS3-2.            The goal of instruction is to delve into the field of genetics. Students will learn about things like genetics, heredity, traits, DNA, dominant and recessive genes, mutations, Mendel, Punnett squares.
