About This Lesson
A PowerPoint activity to show to students mutations in DNA are random events. Students work in groups and select 4 candies from a plastic cup (candies must be different colors) and then the key on the slides shows whether their mutation is beneficial or disadvantageous. Students seemed to enjoy it!
Short and sweet (get it?) activity that gets pupils visualising the effects of mutation. Love it! Not sure whether I understand the first slide though.
