About This Lesson
Entrepreneurship
Students will be learning about Entrepreneurship using the Small Business Administration (www.sba.gov). Teacher will give each student a “Going About Your Business” Internet Research Activity. Students will be working in groups of 4 to create a PowerPoint presentation. Each person in the group should pick one of the following to research and create a PowerPoint presentation on: Small Business Incubator (with the name of one that is currently in existence), Local colleges and universities, local Departments of commerce, and Business-related Internet sites—all sources where a person can get assistance when starting up a business. There is a collaborative rubric attached, as well as a Group Evaluation Checklist that addresses the SEL competencies for working collaboratively, communication, and cooperation.
