About This Lesson
This NCLD/Youth guide is designed to help youth with disabilities become stronger advocates. This encompasses a wide array of issues including the basics of how a bill becomes a law, how to educate yourself on the issues that are important to you, and how to use that information in talking with your legislator. This is developed for and by young people with disabilities to be used in classroom settings, in trainings, and to better prepare young people to advocate for themselves.
