About This Lesson
A booklet I gave to my Grade 8 once we’d read part of Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman (we’d read up to just after the trial of Ryan). It includes a List of 11 tasks from which they can choose at least 2 to complete to show their understanding of the novel (characters; plot; themes etc.). Following the introductiry sheet; there is a sheet for every task that explains exactly what they have to do; along with advice. They had one lesson to read the booklet; ask questions and use copies of the novel to prepare for their tasks. They then had to complete them for homework.
