About This Lesson
I made these cards to go along with the well known rhyme This Old Man.When you print off each page if you fold it in half before laminating you will have a double sided flash card with the image on one side and the numeral on the other. You could use the cards yourself or you could give a card to each child and let them hold it up at the right part of the song.
These flash cards are great - I used to work with a really old set of cards dating from pre-Internet times - cut out from magazines etc. and they were rather small and faded by now! I enlarged the cards and laminated them, splitting up the numbers and the rhymes so that when I introduce the numbers to my English beginners we first of all put them onto the floor and then sequence them. Then I take the picture cards and read them to my pupils and then they must find the rhyming number - it's great fun and at the end of the second lesson, they can sing the whole song! Thanks for the lovely material!
