About This Lesson

Students will be assigned a character from well-known literature and film. Students will analyze the assigned character and prepare a group presentation that effectively persuades the audience to go against popular perception of that character. Villain or Hero is in the eye of the beholder. For example, Cinderella's stepmother could be argued as a hero; she was, afterall, a mother looking after the best interests of her own children. Teachers may choose pop culture characters or characters from classic literature.
