Pigs Aplenty, Pigs Galore! by David McPhail is a wonderful poem with fantastic illustrations. Do not let yourself be denied this pleasure.I almost missed out sharing it with my students as I thought it would be too much. This children's story told in verse Unit Plan allows for the opportunity to work with a variety of language features like rhyming and rhythm. It is intended for families and teachers for reading and learning during Social Isolation or any other time. I have transcribed the verses of the poem to help with extending the lesson. Parents and kids could either audio or video tape themselves performing their specific verses. As I am an incurably optimistic in nature, please see the blessing and take advantage of the closeness set out of time to share this book and as many as you can daily. I hope that your teacher will see the value in families sharing a good book.
