About This Lesson
Using number cards from games like UNO pair students to play a game of war. When they bring out their number card they have to decide whose number is the greatest one. The students use small blocks to count up to the number on the card. The student who has the greatest number keeps both cards . They continue to pick cards from a bundle until there are no more cards. The student who has acquired the largest amount of cards wins. This is great for counting, number identification and comparison.
