Practicing Poetry; an Overview of Poetic Forms and Writing Functions

This is a two-week unit plan focused on giving 8th grade Language Arts students a broad survey of poetry across the ages, particularly narrowing in on the forms and functions of poetry in the ancient and modern eras.
