About This Lesson
This Progressive Era activity has students read about Industrial Revolution problems, write 3 laws to help solve it, and research what Progressive activists did. They must decide if the activists did enough to help the problem and explain why, and then research what the government did. Included are two handouts, one about Progressive individuals, another about Ida Wells-Barnett, but for many progressives the students must research on the Internet to find information OR the teacher can interject their own resources/mini-lesson on those people.
